So please consider:
People all over the globe are uploading videos
to YouTube literally every second of every day
(13 hours worth every minute according to the
YouTube blog of October 27, 2008).
Is this a youtube video.
If so:
- go to www.zamzar.com > Download video > Copy the web adress of the video ( the text in the adress bar) into URL > then press convert into MP4 > then put in your email adress > Press Ok and wait until it has uploaded > Wait for the email (be sure to check your spam folder aswell)
I use the F4V format with a bitrate at 0.5 to 0.8 max, 2 pass. This brings down the file size and retains video quality.
Based on how much more I want to compress for live web streaming, I might even tweak the audio bitrate.
How long your video takes to upload and then
process depends on lots of variables: internet
connection speed, compression, size of your
video file and the available bandwith (meaning
YouTube’s upload traffic).
Because they are all uploading different types
of videos (like AVI, MOV, MPG, WMV, etc) in
different lengths using different compressions,
YouTube says it can actually take up to a fun
24 hours till your video is finally uploaded, not
including “processing”.
If after all that time the screen is still showing
you the disconcerting “loading” or “uploading”,
it may be time to reluctantly pull the plug and
start all over again.
YouTube also claims that uploading shouldn’t
take more than 1 to 5 minutes per MB (max.)
if you’re using a high-speed connection.
Yeah it usually takes a while just be paitent i just left my computer and went to watch tv and relax in my garden hope this helps
